Welsh Open 2013 - Singles Saturday Info/Draw/Schedule Published
We welcome all our entrants to the Welsh Open 2013, including our UK-based racketlon regulars, our local Cardiff-area entrants many of whom are first-timers, and especially our continental entrants who have made the effort to travel so far to be part of our event. We also thank our sponsors, Cardiff Audi and EasyStore, without whom the event would have been much harder to organise.
For Singles Saturday, the player information, draws for each category, and the overall schedule, are all now available in a single PDF document, available to download at:
The Schedule sheet currently contains the timing for ALL matches, but currently only the singles draws have been completed and thus the doubles matches have no names against them. However, all Sunday Doubles entrants should be able to get a feel for the timing of the rounds of matches - player names will be updated as soon as the doubles category entries are finalised, all players are registered on Result Reporter, and the doubles draws can be performed.
ALL entrants are therefore requested to read this sheet and the event webpages to acquaint themselves with event timing, category timing and latest arrival times, and venue details.
Please note that this is a provisional draw and changes may still be made, even on the morning of the event, due to the occasional withdrawal and no-show. Players apparently receiving first round byes in this provisional draw may end up playing in the first round, and are requested to arrive in time for the start of their category at the very latest. All players are encouraged to turn up for the briefings listed, regardless of their category start time, especially if new to the sport.
Technical Note: The PDF document should be accessible to all via the public domain Acrobat Reader software. Naturally, in order to view the fine detail, you will probably need to zoom in and pan around the pages.
