UK Racketlon

Easter Racketlon on April 1st 2013 1245pm

Former O45's World Champion Dave Lazarus will once again host an Easter racketlon event. This year the event takes place on Monday April 1st 2013. Also the training home of former Mens World Champion Calum Reid.

Redbridge have been doing racketlon tournaments now for well over 5 years and it seems longer, Redbridge being a great venue for the sport and feels like the natural racketlon home now in the UK for many people. A real community spirit has developed which really shows what sport is all about. David is a very experienced organiser in a range of sports (in particularly squash) and has organised racketlon events for over 3 years. His introductions to the tournaments are legendary....if you ever want to know what the gumi arm is.

This follows Duncan Stahl's win at the Xmas event. Ranking points will be available depending on the strength of entry for the A event and the B event will be a fun event. All entries are via Dave Lazarus and not via englishracketlon.org. See contact details below.

Lazarus attracts the good, the improving, the young and the spirited and his tournaments are a really great mix of talent, grit, determination and most importantly fun. Recently turned 12 years old, Elise Lazarus is a regular and it's amazing to see how much Elise has improved at the other sports (being already an expert squash player!).

Even O60's player Stephen Lesser competed in last year's event. The local accountant (Lesser & Co) really enjoy's Dave's events and the sociable events prove a great introduction to the sport. Practice is available at Redbridge 6-8pm on a Sunday.

Those interested in entering should contact Dave on 07956340351 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Easter Racketlon Tournament Monday 1 April 2013 at 12.45pm - Redbridge Sports Centre (NO JOKE!!)

Morning All,

Hope everyone is fit and well.

I am holding a Racketlon Tournament on the above date and time.  The cost will be £14.00 and should finish between 5.00 and 6.00 pm.

There will definitely be a Monrad Tournament where everyone will be placed between 1st and 32nd.  However, this only works if everyone plays all the matches.  I will be holding another competition on the day however, this may be a round robin for the extra numbers.

If players want to bring their own feathered shuttles they may do so, as I use plastics to keep the costs down.

One can bring friends as long as I know their full names and level.

Please let me know via email your availability and look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for your continued support.

Regards.

Dave.
