Racket Masters 2015 - Entry Closes – Monday 27th July – 11pm (BST)

The Racket Masters takes place from Friday 7th August to Sunday 9th August at the Surrey Sports Park and will feature 3 days of Racketlon with categories for all: doubles, singles, veterans and juniors classes all open.  There is onsite accommodation which can be booked through an online service called Booking Bug whilst the surrounding area has a range of alternative options players can arrange for themselves.  However, it is important to note, entry for the 2015 Racket Masters will close at 10:59 pm on Monday 27th July in line with the FIR regulations for world tour events.  We can not guarantee any entries will be processed after the deadline has passed, so please enter now.  Over the past weekend we smashed through 200 entries and some classes will close if they are full before the deadline.  Entry is especially important for those wishing to represent England at the European Team Championships

Doubles All Round?

Doubles Racketlon is a brilliant way to play the sport, primarily as you only have to run around half a court!  With the doubles events preceding the beginning of the banded singles and age group classes at the Racket Masters it also provides a great warm up for the events to come.  If you fancy a spot of doubles (Men’s, Ladies & Mixed) just enter yourself in the class you wish to enter.  You don’t even need a partner, simply enter the doubles category and select “Partner Wanted”.  The organisers will then make every effort to partner everyone up.  There really is no excuse not to enter!  If you have any questions about the doubles than just let us This email address is being protected from spambots. Singles

Across the different classes, the singles categories (including vets and juniors) will start through Friday evening into Saturday morning.  Presently, we envisage the Men’s A & B, Men’s O45’s and O55’s starting on Friday evening, with all other categories starting from 9am on the Saturday morning.  We have a range of classes, Men’s A-E covering from the world’s best players down to the first time entrant, and we really do cater for all.  There are a staggering range of age group classes, with Men’s O40’s, O45’s, O50’s, O55’s, O60’s and O65’s pencilled in, alongside Women’s O45’s and Boys U13’s, U16’s and U21’s with Girls U13’s, U16’s and U21’s.  A combination of entries can be achieved either in two age group classes (that are next to each other, i.e. O50’s & O55’s) or in a banded singles and an age group class (Ladies A & Girls U21’s).  If there are any questions about the entry regulations than see the PDF Document or on the FIR Entry Page.

Amenities

A Tesco supermarket offers all the basics needs for players during the tournament.  It is a simple 10 minute walk from the venue.  The Surrey Sports Park also has a bar, serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and bar food.

We really hope to see you at the 2015 Racket Masters.  This is the events debut and we are ambitiously aiming to set it up as one of the premier events on the FIR World Tour, to rival established events such as the King of Rackets.  Any Racketlon event is nothing, without you, the participants, whether the world’s best or a first timer.  We hope to create a festival of Racketlon with the elite semi-finals and finals scheduled as highlights of the tournament, there for everyone to enjoy, and experience.

Any questions, the PDF Document should cover most things, but please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any unanswered queries.
