Racketlon - you play your opponent at table tennis, badminton, squash and tennis (in that order). You play 1 set to 21 points in each of the 4 sports, one after the other, and the player with the most points at the end is the winner. This year's World Championships were held in Zoetermeer, Netherlands between 25th & 27th November,a nd was the 10th time the event has been held.
Mens singles final: Mikko Karkainnen (Finland) beat Christoph Krenn (Austria) 21-8, 21-15, 21-11 (no tennis needed)
Ladies singles final: Michaela Björnstrom (Finland) beat Natalie Lawrence (England) 21-13, 21-9, 21-17 (no tennis needed)
3 English players won medals:
- Natalie Lawrence (30, from Somerset) was runner-up in the Ladies Singles, losing out to Michaela Björnstrom of Finland
- David Jones (12, from Berkshire) won the Under 13 category
- Richard Whitehouse (57, Staffordshire) came 3rd in the Over 55s event
